Ride for Raptors 2011...to Benefit Carolina Raptor Center |
Rider InfoWelcome and Thank You for participating in the 23rd Annual Ride for RaptorsROAD BEHAVIORFirst and foremost, this event is a RIDE. It is NOT a RACE. You will be riding on open, public roads and are expected to obey all traffic laws and regulations. We will have a police escort with traffic control at intersections in Pendleton for the optional mass start. However, once out of the Town of Pendleton you will be a part of normal traffic. We ask that you set a good example as a biker and encourage you to proactively follow the Upstate's Cyclists/Motorists Road Relations Code of ConductSAG VEHCILESWe will have SAG vehicles patrolling all routes until all riders are in. SAG vehicle phone numbers can be found on the cue sheets. We strongly suggest you carry a spare tire, levers, patches and a pump or CO2 cartridges to fix a flat. Limited technical support will be provided at the start of the race and by SAG vehicles during the ride.MEDICAL EMERGENCIESIf you have a medical emergency call 911 FIRST!! Later you can call the SAG number and let us know how you're doing.PARKINGPlease check the "Directions & Parking" page and abide by the parking restrictions.
